Job Summary:
The role of the Vice President, Entertainment Industry Relations is focused on driving the strategic direction to leverage the entertainment creative and entertainment communities and respective media to help credibly amplify the Atlanta Hawks, Hawks Talon GC, College Park Skyhawks, and State Farm Arena brand. This role will utilize external talent and work across the organization to support business initiatives including in-game concerts, original content development, events, corporate partnerships, brand ambassador program as well as television and film integration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Project management of the Atlanta Hawks in-game performances with celebrities/influencers and other special activations
• Acts as the primary point of contact between the Atlanta Hawks and the performer, talent management, public relations firms, and the record labels.
• Lead an internal cross-departmental task force to align and amplify influencer strategies/activation + partner with digital marketing & NBA influencer activation to identify and activate micro-influencers
• Work in partnership with the connected business unit on the budget for various programs.
• Works with Atlanta Hawks, SFA, and/or NBA legal teams to create Performer Agreements based on the already agreed-upon terms and conditions.
• Manages fulfillment of Atlanta Hawks contractual obligations as put forth in the Performer Agreement.
• The primary point of contact on all concert-related items for in-game broadcast partners.
• Responsible for all aspects of performance promotion including coordinating filming and/or in-studio radio announcements, voice-overs, creative assets, PR information for press releases (talking points, quotes from artists), and working with the advertising team to create and communicate the promotional plan for each artist.
• Manages the overall performer rehearsal including dates, logistics, A/V, and all communication between the artist production team and Hawks production.
• Executes and directs all aspects of the event including schedule, managing parking, car bookings, credentialing, promotional scheduling, staffing, hospitality, performances, meet and greets, and other activations as it relates to each unique show and performer.

Relationship Building:
• Executes strategic plan to maximize partnerships consistently engage with music, film, arts, and social influencers to promote the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena and affiliate brands.
• Acts as liaison between the organization and local production and creative communities including marketing agencies, film crews, publicists, casting agents, location scouts, recording studios, and professional & trade associations.
• Conduct contract negotiations for appearances, locations, and music clearances among other agreements
• Develops creative ideas to leverage talent with the brand for increased fan engagement and revenue opportunities.
• Maintains good working relationships with artist management, peers, and influencers in the music industry on behalf of Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena and affiliate brands.
• Management of brand integration such as product placement and location shoots for programming across television, film, and digital platforms, helping secure proper releases.
• Maintain engagement calendar for consistent touchpoints with talent and influencers.
• Liaison to the league on the related entertainment industry and influencer-related opportunities.

Communications/Media Relations:
• Support the Brand Communications team with media relations as needed across the organization to generate positive print, broadcast, and online coverage for the organization, with a particular focus on live events and shows at State Farm Arena.
• Facilitate media relations with key lifestyles, trade, and entertainment outlets to help promote our entertainment and influencer initiatives.
• Write narratives, talking points, presentations, etc… to help build pitches in partnership with internal teams and community partners
• In partnership with Brand Communications, oversee interviews, radio, and television appearances; press conferences, and other performance-related activities.

Qualification & Experience Required:
• MUST have at least 12+ years of entertainment experience in either music and concert production (preferably in a large venue environment), marketing, management, or public relations.
• Established relationships with talent agencies, record labels, management, corporate partners, and artists.
• Ability to multi-task and work across the entire company at various levels; adhere to deadlines and multiple functions that may sometimes occur simultaneously.
• Must be highly organized, efficient, self-starter with excellent follow-through skills, and able to interact with all levels of management, and different personalities in order to resolve any issues that arise.
• Experience managing production budgets.
• Thorough knowledge of all areas of concert/live event production, including extensive knowledge of talent contractual terms such as technical and hospitality riders.
• Familiarity with original branded content creation and local media landscape.
• Proven ability to exemplify composure and diplomacy while handling talent in high-stress situations.
