News Production Assistant

WSET ABC 13 in Lynchburg, Virginia has an exciting opportunity for a full-time News Production Assistant!

Responsibilities include:
• Operate Expression, Audio or Camera for our Weekday Evening and Weekend Evening Newscasts.
• Other hours as needed, on occasion.
• Will be scheduled 32.5 hours per work week.
• Prep for newscasts including but not limited to:
• Prepare all fonts to air during newscast
• Studio and set preparation
• Maintaining studio
• Lighting
• Editing for newscasts
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:
• Experience is not necessary, but education and/or internship in television or related field preferred
• Training will be provided
• Prior experience directing, college or other, is a plus
