Location: This is an in-person position based out of our Chicago office.
As an integrated company, 160over90 sits at the forefront of cultural influence to effectively connect brands with consumers' passions. At 160/90, the Partnerships team is comprised of subject matter experts around the world helping clients create, negotiate, activate and evaluate integrated marketing programs.
Based in Chicago, this Senior Account Executive position will be part of a dedicated agency team responsible for managing sponsorship initiatives for a key long-term client.
The Senior Account Executive, Partnerships will support the day-to-day management of select clients' sponsorship development, planning, and activation marketing initiatives across our sports and entertainment sponsorship portfolio. Specifically, this position will partner with the Account team and clients to develop strategy, planning, activation and execution efforts around investments mainly within college football and soccer.
The Role and What You'll Do:
• Assist with the day-to-day management and strategic development of client's sponsorship portfolio
• Participate in the development, planning, and implementation of sponsorship programs, including management of properties (approvals, logistics, deliverables, incremental negotiations, etc.)
• Build and manage timelines to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met within allocated timeframe and budget
• Create and maintain client-ready materials, such as POVs, valuations, activation plans, competitive analyses, measurement tracking, and weekly reporting on current events/competitive
• Assist in management of RFP and evaluation process for new, renewed and prospective sponsorships, as well as the after-action performance measurement process based on established client objectives
• Support sponsorship tactical implementation/coordination at all events where agency staff is needed
You Have These:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years of relevant agency, property (team/League), or client-based account management experience, or MBA
• Agency experience highly preferred
• Experience working on and/or with college football and/or soccer platforms/properties valuable
• Proven experience with development and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategies on behalf of clients/companies
• Prior experience with day-to-day relationship management of clients, agencies and vendors
• Participation in (or exposure to) the selection, negotiation, and evaluation of successful sponsorship programs
• Proven ability to prioritize workflow, manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results
• Practical experience with on-site event marketing operations and logistics
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• Ability to problem-solve independently and in groups
• Sports business and general marketing understanding
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
