We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after Business & Legal Affairs team at Warner-Elektra-Atlantic Corp. (WEA).

A little bit about our team:

Warner-Elektra-Atlantic (WEA) is a global organization within the Warner Music Group umbrella that provides services to the wholly-owned labels and other affiliates (including UPROXX and SONGKICK), including digital account management and content protection, consumer sales and marketing, original content development and production, physical sales and distribution, media operations, digital supply chain, and merchandising/licensing.

Why this could be your next big break:

You will work as part of the Business & Legal Affairs team to support the legal needs of WEA. This role offers the opportunity to partner with WMG lawyers and other departments to perform legal research, drafting deal summaries and contract provisions, preparing high-level overviews, and performing other legal work in areas such as digital/new media, vendor and technology agreements, privacy, e-commerce, etc.

Here you'll get to:
• Assist on technology and vendor agreements, merchandising agreements, licensing agreements, privacy and security related agreements, sweepstakes and contests, and others
• Assist in discussing and evaluating new business opportunities from a legal and business perspective
• Draft deal summaries and deal chart entries
• Research issues concerning copyright law and website and ecommerce related issues
• Assist in technology initiatives related to websites, marketing and e-commerce
• Participate in negotiations and strategy meetings

Rockstar candidates will have:
• College degree with a minimum of 1 year law school completed
• Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills to successfully interface with in-house attorneys and general staff

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Experience in media, intellectual property, and production is a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
