Job Description
Our Emerging Talent Programs, which includes Interns, Trainees, and Finance Rotational Associates, offer unique opportunities for students, recent graduates, and emerging talent to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build on your experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, and many educational and social networking opportunities.

This Fall Internship is from September through December 13th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work part-time hours (10-29 a week). Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9-6 pm. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Information Security department is responsible for ensuring the security of Sony Pictures Entertainment's information, as well as information entrusted by business partners, contractors and customers. This is done in a manner that helps support the business via preventative and reactive contols that ensure a safe environment for our data.

Information Security includes not just data stored on systems and networks, but also physical data, like written and printed material.

A number of teams comprise Information Security, including Risk Management, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Content Security, Privacy, and Data Loss Prevention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in Incident Response events across corporate and subsidiary environments.
• Work with the Threat Intelligence teams to stay apprised of new threats.
• Assist in the implementation of new alerts and controls for improved detection capabilities.
• Collect and analyze forensic data as needed during Incident Response events.
• Assist in maturing the IR program with a focus on automation and refining processes.
• Develop and continually improve incident response playbooks, procedures, and knowledge base documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with security concepts and tools
• Ability to research and explore new topics
• An inquisitive mindset and ability to deep dive into details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Undergraduate pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Technical background with knowledge of cloud computing, networks, and web technologies
• Passion for technology

The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
