Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Creative Director to join our Franchise Development team which is responsible for establishing Wondery as a driving force in creating, cultivating, and monetizing podcast IP. The ideal candidate is both creative and commercial-savvy, has impeccable taste, and has their finger on the pulse of culture. They are an innovator who is always looking ahead, learns from the past, and is dedicated to being at the forefront of fan experience.
Overseeing creative strategy and execution, this person will serve as a key partner in supporting Wondery's leadership team and driving the business to new frontiers. He/she/they will report directly to the Head of Franchise Development while collaborating with a variety of internal teams (e.g., Content, Marketing, Research, Product, Business Planning), podcast creators and hosts, and other partners. Coming in on the ''ground floor,'' this role will help build out Wondery's and its IP in the fast-moving and fast-growing podcast space. As such, it is key that the candidate have an entrepreneurial mindset, as well as be comfortable with the uncomfortable and adapting to shifting priorities.

Key job responsibilities
- Set the strategy and roadmap to translate podcast IP into brand extensions (e.g., podcast merch, consumer products, collaborations, publishing, IRL and digital experiences, etc.) from concept and product development to go-to-market campaigns.
- Generate alignment and excitement for key initiatives; partner with the Content team, podcast creators and talent, and partners, to identify, inform, and build out key brand initiatives from concept to launch.
- Identify opportunities to innovate for fans and drive business goals; monitor and stay current on trends.
- Drive a collaborative, efficient and flexible creative development; continually hone processes, workflows, and tools to on-board and collaborate with new podcasts and talent.
- Develop sales/pitch materials, brand playbooks for partners, and go-to-market campaigns and marketing and social assets.
- Deliver a variety of presentations including brand development plans, vision decks for talent meetings, and share-outs for corporate speaking engagement.
- Ensure fan engagement points beyond podcasts are on-brand and have consistent style, quality, and tone of voice across all touchpoints.
- Oversee all aspects of product and experiences development including project management, creation of style guides and assets, asset management, and approvals system.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of professional work experience experience, including several years in entertainment/ content
- Portfolio demonstrating functional understanding of intended area of expertise
- History of conceptualizing and introducing exceptional marketing materials, campaigns, and design elements for the most discerning fans
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud and PowerPoint
- A proven track-record partnering with cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders behind a vision
- Project management skills; experience overseeing a large volume of creative projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A combination of agency experience and a creative role at an entertainment company
- A podcast listener or desire to be one

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $249,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
