Job Summary/Description:

WMC, Action News 5 in Memphis, TN seeks a Traffic Anchor/Multi-Media Journalist. The successful candidate will anchor traffic reports Monday-Friday on Action News 5 morning newscasts and report for newscasts as assigned. The Traffic Anchor/Multi-Media Journalist will be able to clearly communicate how traffic is impacting Mid-South drivers and help them navigate around daily disruptions This position requires a creative individual who's a gifted communicator, has a proficiency for studio technology, and the ability to multi-task and troubleshoot.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver timely and informative traffic reports during weekday morning newscasts.
- Understand traffic's impact to determine significance and prioritization.
- Self-produce graphic intensive traffic hits using Max Traffic software and external sources to validate or update accuracy of content during early mornings.
- Reporting, shooting, and editing video, posting web stories/pictures/video from both the field and television station.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Candidates should have at least two years' experience as a traffic anchor, reporter, or news anchor at a broadcast television station
- Ability to operate state-of-the-art television news equipment and cross platform content publishing software
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in high stress situations
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to schedule changes
