Job Summary/Description:

WLOX is ready to hire an innovative sports enthusiast. We're looking for a Sports Anchor/Reporter who uses great storytelling to do more than just show highlights. Join the WLOX Sports team and become part of what the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters judged the best high school football show in the state. If your passion is covering championship caliber football, baseball, hockey, and golf, then you need to apply for the sports opening we have at the WLOX News Now sports desk.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop story ideas
* Build an array of sources
* Cover breaking news on our OTT digital desk
* Know how the stories in a newscast impact viewers and the community
* Adjust on the fly when breaking news changes our coverage plans
* Write content for WLOX.com and station's social media platforms
* Be a leader in the newsroom

Qualifications/Requirements:

This position requires applicable college degree and at least one year experience at a broadcast station. Also requires a clean driving record, proof of insurability and a valid driver's license.
