Job Description
WKBN (CBS), WTYV (ABC), WYFX (FOX) and MyYTV in Youngstown, OH seeks an entry level Jr. Sales Account Executive/ Coordinator. The Jr. Sales Account Executive will handle certain accounts to generate advertising revenue and learn on the job as well as assisting Account Executives to become familiar with terminology and software systems. We are looking for someone with the desire to learn the following:
• Has the capability and drive to want to learn the media industry from the ground up.
• Has a positive ''can do'' attitude to assist AE's and managers in daily sales reports and presentations.
• Desire to establish strong business relationships within the local community.
• Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts.
• Uncovers client's business needs through client needs analysis/discovery meetings and professionally prepared presentations.
• Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement both TV and digital.
• Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media.
• Works with clients and station personnel to develop commercial messages.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.
• Expertise in all Microsoft Office products, mainly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of basic CRM systems.
• 1 year of professional sales experience, marketing preferred but not required.
