We are looking for a dynamic storyteller who can produce content that provides context and depth to issues affecting Tarrant County and its diverse communities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives on uncovering original stories, developing sources, and delivering exclusive content across platforms, including WFAA+, our streaming platform.

Responsibilities:
• Cultivating a beat in Tarrant County, developing strong relationships with sources to generate exclusive and enterprise stories. Serving as a go-to resource in the newsroom for stories and insights related to that beat.
• Digging into public records and investigative tools to uncover impactful stories that hold leaders accountable.
• Telling meaningful, visually engaging stories that connect with viewers and go beyond the headlines.
• Shooting, writing, and editing stories as an MSJ.
• Responding urgently to breaking news, working the scene to provide the latest updates and exclusive interviews.

• Writing expanded digital content, maximizing reach across WFAA.com and social media.
• Leveraging AI and social media tools to enhance storytelling, engagement, and content production.
• Contributing original content to WFAA+, our streaming platform, with a focus on Tarrant County's unique issues and perspectives.

Requirements::
• Strong communicator with the ability to react quickly to breaking news in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced MMJ who is passionate about shooting and editing their own stories with high-quality production value.
• Live reporting expertise with an engaging, content-driven presence on-air.
• Deep knowledge of current events, both locally, statewide, and nationally, with a commitment to uncovering underreported issues.
• Creative and innovative storyteller who can think outside the box and bring fresh perspectives to traditional news.
• Proficiency in social media and AI-driven tools, with a track record of using them to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
• Texas/Regional knowledge is a plus.

If you're a journalist who is passionate about delivering meaningful, impactful stories to North Texas viewers, we want to hear from you.
