Job Summary/Description:
WBTV in Charlotte, NC seeks full-time Assistant IT Manager/Engineer. The Assistant IT Manager will provide hardware and software support for all departments on multiple computer and networking platforms using a wide variety of business and broadcasting software.
End-user technical support skills are essential. Some of the broadcast software utilized are, WideOrbit, BitCentral, Ross Overdrive, ENPS, Edius, as well as Office 365.
Duties include technical support requests, troubleshooting and maintaining servers, workstations, networks, and assistance in maintaining broadcast equipment in an IT environment.
Expertise with installation, support and maintenance of current OS platforms, IP networking technologies is a must. Must be team player with excellent communication and people skills.

Qualifications/Requirements:
2-3 years of professional or broadcast experience preferred. A Bachelor's Degree or similar certification is preferred, but is not required, as is previous working experience in engineering. Strong leadership skills and ability to operate in high pressure situations. This position may include on-call rotation which may require weekend/holiday emergency work as needed.
- Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
- Must possess strong personal interaction skills, good communication skills, ability to work under pressure and deadlines, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces, pull and install wiring, use hand and power tools, work on small components, and perform other physical tasks.
