Job Title: Vice President, Business Intelligence

A little bit about our team:

WMG's Business Intelligence team (BI) uses data analysis to inform WMG's strategy, vision, and day-to-day operations. The BI team works with various departments across Warner Music's Central Functions, Recorded Music, and Music Publishing divisions to understand the trends and dynamics that drive the constant evolution of our business. Our goal for this role is to develop deep, actionable insights and strategies that support our global network of labels and operators in more than 40 countries in their pursuit of breaking new artists and expanding WMG's global reach and impact. We work with operators to observe and learn about the trends and factors that influence the music industry and listener behavior around the world. BI also works closely with WMG's leadership team to empower stronger performance measurement and strategic decision-making.

Your role:

Because the BI team works closely with departments across the company, you will have the opportunity to see the inner workings and influence decision-making within a global music company through thoughtful intelligence work. Here you'll get to:
• Manage a team of six analysts that support WMG's Recorded Music (RM) and Music Publishing (MP) segments.
• Cultivate an environment that champions continuous improvement.
• Lead all aspects of your team's project roadmap and lead their daily capacity, ensuring timely delivery of actionable insights and data products that meet deadlines set with business team members.
• Work closely with the SVP, Business Intelligence in quarterly planning sessions with partners across RM and MP segments, ensuring BI is hearing the needs of the business and appropriately prioritizing its resources.
• Develop and manage relationships with senior partners from RM and MP, acting as both a thought leader and bridge to central BI.
• Lead complex or high-priority projects that use your expertise in the music business and analytics to provide valuable insights and recommendations to partners.
• Work with senior leaders across the company, including segment CEOs, CFOs, and other C-level executives, providing actionable data-driven insights.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, standard processes, and new technologies in analytics more broadly. Find opportunities to improve processes that will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the team.

About you:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the music business, entertainment, sports, and/or business analytics.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in leading people or teams with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent.
• A charismatic thought-leader that can inspire and build confidence with direct reports and stakeholders.
• Experience working and directly communicating with senior leadership teams, including C-level executives and division leaders.
• Consistent track record of success in identifying and communicating actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Extensive experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI), programming languages (SQL, Python, or R), and analytics programs (Alteryx).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics), advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Highly independent, self-motivated, and accountable.

This position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.

Salary Range
$200,000 to $230,000 Annually

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
