Job Title: Royalties Administrator, Publishing

A little bit about our team:

The US Shared Services Publishing Department is comprised of the Licensing & Royalties teams. The Publishing Royalties team provides publishing, royalties, and other related administrative services to each of WMG's US record labels, along with those WMG labels and affiliates based outside the US that wish to release records or recordings in the US Publishing Royalties services include paying mechanical royalties to songwriters and/or their publishers and administrators, obtaining tax forms, vendor maintenance, and managing processes for publishing catalogue and administrative changes. The Royalties Administrator of Publishing will be reporting to the Director of Publishing Royalties and will work with the team to assist in data strategy development and enhance processes for the department.

Your role:

The Royalties Administrator of Publishing will have the unique opportunity to work at the most dynamic record label in the music industry. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help develop and maintain business solutions for the Publishing Royalties team and collaborate with all business units in Shared Services as well as our label counterparts and ensure that copyright owners and publishers are paid their mechanical royalties in a timely manner.

Here you'll get to:
• Liaise with the Licensing, Business Affairs & Legal, Audit and Finance teams.
• Assist in meeting personal and departmental goals and objectives.
• Perform and review adjustments to royalty rate calculations and set-up as needed.
• Assist in setting up new vendors and update existing vendors when required.
• Prepare all publishing catalogue and administrative changes.

• Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
• You must possess excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a deadline driven environment handling multiple tasks
• You must hold a high degree of self-motivation and responsibility for/ownership of tasks, with the ability to handle a high volume of administrative work with accurate execution.
• You must be able to manage multiple assignments at any given time and prioritize them effectively and appropriately.
• Candidate must have strong computer skills, including strong data entry skills (with an emphasis on accuracy) and strong proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
• We'd love it if you also had: Copyright or royalties experience is preferred
• General computer software skills with exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel) & Google
• Excellent professional communication skills and etiquette, both written and verbal
• Research and respond to external inquiries clearly and in a timely manner.
• Analyze and process monthly and quarterly publishing royalty statements to ensure the accuracy of both the royalty rates applied and the underlying earnings on which royalties are being paid.
• Serve as a point of contact with senior management with weekly status updates of your workload.
• You will perform other duties and tasks related to the Department's role and responsibilities as needed.

Salary Range
$23.00 to $25.00 Hourly

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
