Job Title: Manager, Accounting

A little bit about our team:

The Finance Department at WM Latina is responsible for supporting the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts and supervising compliance with accounting policies and procedures. In addition, the finance department is responsible for ensuring that internal control policies are adequate and implemented. The department is a partner to all other departments with regards to making strategic decisions that benefit the company.

Your role:

The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller in leading the day-to-day operations of the WM Latina Finance department, including maintaining an adequate control environment, financial reporting according to US GAAP and company policies month-end close, cash management, supervision of payment processes and balance sheet reconciliations.

We are looking for an experienced Accountant who can be a forward-thinking, motivated, professional, detail oriented, organized, and hard-working individual, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and being able to prioritize and multi-task.

Here you'll get to:
• Assist the Controller in partnership with Nashville Shared Service Center on handling the month-end process including preparing and posting of journal entries following accounting standard rules.
• Assist the Controller on ensuring all balance sheet accounts are timely and accurately reconciled working in partnership with the Shared Service Ce
• Work along with the Controller and the Control Champions Team (CCT) focused on maintaining an adequate control environment in line with WMG Risk Control Matrix.
• Assist the Controller in ad hoc special projects and analysis for label and corporate senior management.
• Participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
• Monitoring and analyzing financial accounting data.
• Perform artist recoupment analysis as per WMG reporting requirements.
• Perform revenue recognition along with the Controller.
• Handling the Intercompany transactions to ensure proper financial statements.
• Create and coordinate Year and Monthly Financial Calendar.

About you:
• 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably with some mixture of experience within public accounting and a music industry company.
• Proficient in US GAAP and related financial reporting regulations and standards
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure and cultivate and develop key relationships.
• Audit experience at a public accounting firm preferred.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills, as well as excellent attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven track record of communicating effectively with cross-functional departments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in SAP
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and delegate as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Proficient in Microsoft suite, SQL Management.
• SOX Internal control environment.
• Data Management.
• CPA preferred

Effective October 1st, this position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.

Salary Range

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
