The Job

This position oversees the TV Deal Management Group in the timely completion of contract briefs ''abstracts'' outlining participation reporting obligations related to TV series productions. The Sr. Manager must lead the department's day-to-day functions including quarterly planning, abstract review, status tracking, staff training, development, and performance review. This position is responsible for responding to requests from various groups including legal, audit, set-up, participations reporting and financial planning.

The Daily
• Analyze, interpret, and review complex contingent compensation provisions from legal agreements as summarized in contract abstracts prepared by the department. Approval of
of TV abstracts.
• Develop and train staff, schedule workflow, monitor team assignments and report status to management on a regular basis.
• Research and respond to ad-hoc inquiries including requests from legal, setup group, audit financial planning and participations reporting. Consult with Business Affairs and legal regarding new and existing deal terms.
• Responsible for responding to SOX related audit inquires
• Plan and conduct technical and conceptual training sessions and cross-divisional forums as needed. Participate and or lead special projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned

The Essentials
• 5 plus years Studio Participations Management or comparable experience
• Entertainment Industry experience preferably in TV participation or production.
• General understanding of a participations statement reporting system (i.e., Sylvester, Paris or similar)
• BA/BS required
• MBA/JD a plus
• Must have sufficient knowledge of enterprise database systems
• Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills required
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and management required
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment, such as Excel and Word
• Strong overall understanding of TV Participations, including ability to read and understand complex legal agreements
• Must have good time management skills to manage multiple tasks
• Must have the ability to plan, organize and schedule workflow
• Leadership skills required
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines under a fast-paced environment and work overtime, as needed.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
