Job Description
Primary Purpose of Position:

The Supervising Line Producer is responsible for the leadership and management of the Line Producers or Production Managers on respective productions . This includes providing clear financial, logistical, OHS, legal & safety direction in line with programme creative & financial
objectives and the company's requirements.

Position Responsibilities:
• Support the crewing manager in securing the best staff in pre production for each programme.
• Prep budgets and cost reports in line with HOP and Supervising Production Executive
• Manage budgets and cost reports during pre and post production when the Line Producers/Production Managers are not yet
on board.
• Supporting the communication with the broadcaster when required .
• Finalising each budget pack by creating a production and post version of the budget.
• Handing over each production budget to your Line Producer/ Production Manager and Executive Producer.
• Provide clear guidelines and expectations on relevant line items as well as feedback on internal budget negotiation and current estimated position.
• Oversee and be responsible for the Line Producer / Production Manager on all cost reporting. Setup and attend fortnightly cost report meetings with your team and analyse each cost report, ensuring you are comfortable that the current and projected positions are accurate .
• Work with your Line Producer/Production Manager (and where necessary, E xecutive P roducer ) to provide suggestions and feedback on when
overages can be clawed back via creative or logistical changes .
• Always staying an arms length ahead of any financial position to predict future issues and provide guidance
on mitigating overages .
• Daily to Weekly updates to the Supervising Production Executive
on budget position and forecasted finish.
• Ensure requisite insurance is purchased prior to the commencement of any show preproduction
• Undertake an insurance risk analysis to determine any insurance gaps and / or requirements for additional insurance coverage .
• Ensure Line Producers/Production Managers are implanting WB's OHS requirements on each program .
• Ensure any risky activities are escalated to the WB Risk Committee with relevant information. Ensure all activities and suppliers have been properly vetted .
• Sign off on safety officer engagement ensuring references and CV are in line with the program requirements .
• I n conjunction with the Supervising Production Executive, compose a projected legal requirements list for the series and brief the legal team on core documents (e.g. key participant agreements, show specific agreements and deadlines.
• Ensure all commercial and show-specific requirements are captured in any core legal documents for the series.
• Negotiate all senior contracts for each program ( Line Producer/Production Manager/ Executive Producer , Heads of Department) ensuring rates and deals are in line with WB rate card, previous show expectations and equipment requirements (where relevant) .
• In partnership with Supervising Production Executive , provide and receive regular feedback to the Line Producers/Production Managers
on financial, OHS, legal, creative requirements of the show.
• Work with HR and the Supervising Production Executive on all staffing terminations or difficult feedback sessions in conjunction.
• Compose the relevant Participant Duty of Care document for your programs with buy in (and sign off) with the Duty of Care Committee.
• Manage the implementation of the Duty of Care Policy and ensure the procedures are followed out, including organization of any relevant mental health training .
• Secure a show psychologist with relevant experience for each show as required .

Work Experience:
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Line Producer
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Production Manager
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Television Production
• Experience at both networks and production companies
• Experience leading and managing creative teams.

Knowledge/Skills:
• Ability to work to schedule and budget to achieve required results.
• Excellent understanding of budget management
• Understanding in how to create stories and the importance of creative storytelling.
• Excellent stakeholder management both internally and externally.
• Excellent understanding of television legal requirements.
• High level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal and external parties to drive results.
• Demonstrated experience in managing people.
• Responsible, accountable and results oriented.

• Excellent attention to detail with high level
of accuracy.
