Job Description

As a Streaming Editor, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, scheduling, and presentation of all sports content on MAX and discovery+ platforms. This role is essential for promoting and presenting Norwegian sports content, working closely with central and local teams to maintain the highest quality for our viewers. You will oversee sports events, especially those with Norwegian commentary, ensuring they run smoothly and are effectively showcased. You will also need to collaborate with our editorial team, focusing on social media and Eurosport.no.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Quality Assurance: Guarantee the quality and presentation of sports content on MAX and discovery+. This includes scheduling, image usage, and ensuring smooth delivery of events, particularly with Norwegian commentary.
• Sports Content Promotion: Collaborate with the central Merchandising team to promote and enhance the visibility of Norwegian sports content. Ensure that our sports rights receive appropriate promotion and presentation to the target audience.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as the Norwegian representative, working closely with the central team to ensure that Norwegian sports events are prioritized and get the visibility they deserve. You will be in regular contact to make sure the most important sports rights are promoted effectively.
• Local Event Management: Work closely with OnVip for scheduling sports events, particularly for local productions. This includes managing your own local feeds and ensuring synchronization between local production teams and OnVip.
• CRM Collaboration: Partner with the CRM team to support push notifications and promotional efforts, particularly for discovery+.
• Stakeholder Cooperation: Serve as the ''Norwegian voice'' in an environment with many stakeholders, ensuring that local needs and requests are heard and prioritized.
• Social media and Eurosport.no: Manage and contribute to social media channels and content on Eurosport.no

Qualifications & Experience…
• Proven experience in content scheduling, streaming, or editorial roles, preferably in sports or entertainment.
• Strong understanding of sports rights, live event production, and the Norwegian sports market.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage relationships across local and central teams.
• Proven experience in writing journalistic articles.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and push notification systems is an advantage.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Journalistic Expertise: A strong foundation in journalism, including experience in researching, writing, and reporting, with an ability to create compelling and accurate content.
• Social Media Skills: Proficiency in managing and engaging with audiences across various social media platforms, with a focus on content creation, scheduling, and analytics to maximize reach and impact.
• Multimedia Proficiency: Capability to produce content in both video and written formats, showcasing creativity and versatility in storytelling across different mediums.
