About the Role and Team

The Strategic Initiatives TPM team is a dynamic and collaborative group that aims to build a world-class technical program management team, driving strategic and critical programs within Direct to Streaming Organization. We work across the organization to manage complex technical initiatives and product features with precision, ensuring alignment with key business and company goals.

Partnering with our engineering and business counterparts, we develop the product and technical expertise needed to deliver our products globally. This includes the expansion of Max, implementation of cross-cutting features, and promotion of engineering excellence.

We're in search of a dynamic and talented Staff Technical Program Manager to join team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead large-scale, cross-organizational business initiatives, product features, and engineering excellence, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful launch of high-impact company goals.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Partnership and Collaboration
• You possess a robust background in technical program management with at least 8 years of experience in successful, with proven expertise in driving multiple large-scale products and programs from beginning to launch.
• You are an effective communicator, excellent collaborator, proven ability to manage and influence multiple and multi-level stakeholders and can drive organizational clarity in your area. Clear and concise verbal and written communication with a passion for keeping stakeholders informed on what to expect and when, with an ability to vary style and level of detail as appropriate to the audience.
• Navigating ambiguity and competing priorities is second nature to you enabling the organization to deliver our priorities. You will anticipate risks, identify critical issues impacting customer experience, and maintain visibility with senior leadership at WBD.
• Your role demands exceptional judgment, negotiation skills, influence, technical acumen, analytical prowess, and leadership capabilities.
• You can make data driven decisions when challenges arise, quantify the impact, weigh options, identify the best path forward, align stakeholders, and drive to success.

Customer Obsession
• You are passionate about crafting exceptional streaming experiences for our end customers by building a deep understanding of our streaming business, global customer base, products, and features.
• You actively seek out feedback and leverage data-driven insights to drive decisions that would improve and innovate our streaming services.
• You build a view of the end-to-end customer experience, the diverse needs of our global audience and use that to influence product and technical decisions to deliver delightful experiences.
• You prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, security ensuring that our streaming platform is user-friendly and safe and accessible to all customers.

Technical Expertise
• You also possess deep technical expertise in any of the public cloud service offerings, demonstrate proficiency in building software using microservices and distributed architecture.
• You also have deep understanding and proficiency in technology and architectures relevant to direct-to-consumer platforms like complex identity and authentication systems, well-versed in commerce and payment systems, or in content and media streaming technologies etc.
• You can lead technical and architecture discussions with software engineers and drive complex technical requirements into new or existing microservices.
• You can effectively prioritize and triage critical issues by understanding the customer and business impact of the issues and enable to teams come up with solutions.
• You are also well versed with tools including JIRA, confluence, Smartsheet, product and software development lifecycles and have managed agile teams.

• You take full ownership of complex problems, driving them from inception to resolution with a relentless focus on delivering high-quality results. Your proactive approach ensures that potential issues are identified early, and you implement effective solutions to mitigate risks.

• Driving multiple technical initiatives and features, critical to business goals working with cross-functional teams, ensuring technical alignment and collaboration towards common goals, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Taking full ownership of complex technical and customer problems, driving them from inception to resolution with a relentless focus on delivering timely high-quality results.
• Collaborating across functions to ensure timely completion of dependencies, maintaining open communication channels with product management, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
• Driving technical architecture discussions where necessary to ensure that we are making the right engineering design and tradeoffs for long term success of the product and tech stack.
