Your New Role...

The Accounting Sr. Manager is a key position supporting cash, cash related systems and other corporate functions. The position will be responsible for the day-to-day cash operational accounting, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records, that the books and records of the company are maintained in compliance with US GAAP and company policies. Recommended to have strong accounting skills, make critical decisions, as well as a good understanding of SAP and Peoplesoft. This position works closely with senior executives and other functional Global Business Systems (GBS) teams to resolve complex accounting issues and make or influence decisions. Scope of responsibilities impact all Reporting Segments of WBD including Studios, DTC, Networks and Corporate. The position has frequent interaction with senior leaders in Accounting, Treasury, Finance, Tax, and Operations.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Cash Accounting: You will lead the team on all monthly and quarterly cash accounting tasks ensuring the transactions are recorded timely, completely and accurately. These tasks include, but are not limited to cash accounting, monthly and quarterly close processes, preparation of cash reporting packages, account reconciliations, maintaining compliance with internal controls and performance of the quarterly flux analysis. You will serve as a subject matter expert in cash operations, perform high-level analytics, and serve as the primary point of contact for escalations of reconciling items and material issues.
• Team leadership and management: You will indirectly lead a team located in Hyderabad of cash accountants in this high-volume area. This will include reviewing work, validating and investigating issues as well as providing inputs into the coaching and development of existing team members, cross team coordination, and excellent communication with senior leadership teams.
• Initiatives including ERP Implementation of SAP S4 HANA: You will lead transformation efforts in the planning, design, implementation and stabilization phases of the new ERP system implementation as well as other periodic transformation or process improvement initiatives.
• Audit: You will collaborate with auditors, both internal as well as external, to ensure team's accurate and timely submission of requested documentation. Address any questions resulting from the audit.
• Other tasks: You will address tasks required to achieve team and company goals such as, but not limited to, process improvement initiatives, ERP and boundary system maintenance and testing and ad hoc requests.
• Administrative: You will complete administrative tasks such as providing input into the delivery of performance evaluations, monitoring team members' workload and advocate and encourage team participation in Company initiatives

Qualifications & Experience...
• BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university
• Master's degree in accounting a plus
• CPA preferred
• Experience performing financial accounting monitoring of key business performance metrics
• Strong understanding of financial systems with ability to learn and master new system tools
• Experience in automating manual processes
• Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at all levels
• Experience implementing best practices that require significant innovation for improving processes by applying advanced understanding of complex functional/technical and business issues and challenges
• Embraces change driven by evolving business initiatives and maintains positivity when time-sensitive milestones shift
• Willing and able to travel internationally for occasional business trips

Preferred experience:
• Big 4 Accounting Firm experience
• Strong accounting acumen working in a multinational company
• SAP S4 Hana,Oracle/People Soft knowledge is a plus
• Microsoft Office suite of applications
• Cash Operational accounting experience
• Media industry.
• Experience working with offshore personnel
