Job Description
The Senior Analyst will be instrumental in the setup and maintenance of participation deals and statements, ensuring that all financial obligations are accurately recorded in Warner Bros. systems. This role requires a deep understanding of contractual agreements and involves contributing to the enhancement of departmental systems and tools through rigorous testing and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Setup and Maintenance
• Configure and maintain participation deals within Warner Bros. systems to support profit participation reporting.
• Analyze and interpret abstracts, legal agreements, and associated documentation.
• Review and validate deal setups completed by other analysts within the system.
• Collaborate with various business units to ensure contractual obligations are met accurately and on time.
• Perform deal maintenance and stakeholder setup.
• Provide user support for the automated participations reporting system as required.
• Track new products and maintain status reports to manage workflow effectively.
System and Process Improvement
• Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of templates and participate in testing to improve business processes.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline operations from abstracting to reporting.
• Document best practices and provide training to staff as necessary.
Research and Special Projects
• Conduct research and contribute to special projects as needed.
• Work Experience:
• 2-4 years of experience in finance, legal, accounting, auditing, or IT.
• Prior experience in participations and/or the entertainment industry is advantageous.
• Familiarity with automated participation reporting systems, system implementations, and testing is a plus.
• Experience with Jira and within a large corporate environment is beneficial.
• Education & Training:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, legal, accounting, information systems, or a related field.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze and interpret legal agreements and related documents.
• Quick adaptability to new technologies.
• Flexibility in handling changing priorities.
• Strong mathematical and algebraic capabilities.
• Proficient in English
