We are seeking a Senior Writer to craft the voice of our internal brand and contribute to a wide range of strategic communications. This role is integral to developing and executing world-class messaging across all channels-whether it's features, newsletter copy, video scripts, internal social posts, or a whole range of long-form and short-form content. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency, clarity, and inspiration in everything we communicate, while collaborating closely with various teams to elevate our messaging and align it with broader Company goals.
As part of a creative, results-driven team, your role will be pivotal in enhancing the employee experience and bringing our brand to life across internal channels. You will write, refine, and optimize content that resonates with our audience, fostering engagement and reinforcing our culture.
This role will play a crucial role in developing and executing communication strategies that enhance the visibility and impact of executive leadership, including key messages from the CEO of Warner Bros Discovery (including, for example, managing internal and external communications, crafting speeches, writing thought leadership articles, and coordinating high-profile events.) The VP's main goal will be to translate complex ideas into clear, persuasive, and individualized content that drives engagement and builds trust.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Write and Edit High-Quality Copy: Produce a wide range of internal communications, including headlines, short-form copy, long-form features, video scripts, leadership messages, internal social media posts, FAQs, and more.
• Develop Campaign Messaging: Collaborate with teams across departments to integrate messaging seamlessly into broader campaign concepts, ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand voice.
• Shape Tone and Voice: Play an instrumental role in defining and refining the voice of our internal brand, ensuring all content aligns with our core values and resonates with our employees.
• Collaborate Creatively: Work closely with other writers, designers, marketers, and business partners to brainstorm, develop, and execute new ideas that elevate our internal communications.
• Refine Messaging: Use feedback from key stakeholders to refine and optimize tactical messaging, ensuring it aligns with both strategic goals and employee needs.
• Engage and Inspire: Create simple, engaging, and inspiring content that speaks directly to employees, fostering a sense of community, connection, and brand loyalty.
• Stay Current: Keep up with trends, technologies, and industry best practices to continually innovate and improve the quality of our communications.
Qualifications & Experience...
• Experience: 8+ years of professional writing experience, ideally in corporate or internal communications, with a strong portfolio of work showcasing writing samples across different formats.
• Collaboration: Proven experience working collaboratively across departments, with the ability to take direction, provide feedback, and align creative concepts across multiple teams.
• Writing Excellence: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create original, compelling, and clear messaging for a variety of communication platforms.
• Creative Thinking: A proactive and curious mindset, always looking for new ways to engage and inspire, with a passion for creative experimentation and innovation.
• Brand Awareness: Deep understanding of the importance of brand voice and tone, with the ability to maintain consistency across diverse communications.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate ideas effectively.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Communications, Journalism, Marketing, etc) is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications...
• Experience working in an internal communications role, particularly within a fast-paced or rapidly evolving environment.
• Familiarity with various communication tools and platforms used for internal communication (e.g., employee newsletters, intranet, video, audio, etc.).
• A genuine passion for our brand and an understanding of how internal communications contribute to a positive company culture and an aligned workforce.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $77,000.00 - $143,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
