Your Role Accountabilities…
• Oversee accounting close process/teams/outsource providers. Including but not limited to review of all by-title accounting, participation/film cost accounting and support of any 3 rd party audits of WB titles.
• Responsible for the timely completion and accuracy of accountreconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal control environment
• Managing the Studios EMEA BPO offshore team in India and seeking out process improvements and standardization opportunities to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work with other members of the Controllership team to review, and resolve any intercompany discrepancies within the group
• Being point of contact for internal and external auditors
• Prepare and / or approve certain accruals or provide inputs to the SDC teams
• Provide guidance to the team and support troubleshooting and problem solving during month end close.
• Engage with key Studio EMEA controllership stakeholders, including FP&A, GBS, COE, Studio Global Process Owners and country specific business unit teams. Ensure a robust understanding of the Television Production business in core operating sectors and provide responsive consultation and information as required in key business decisions.
• Participate and provide input to key system and process integrations in the Studios EMEA controllership area over the next two to three years, especially as it relates to the recent merger between Discovery and WarnerMedia and ERP upgrade initiatives.
• Coordinate with other members of the Studios EMEA Controllership team keeping them informed about upcoming changes and gathering their inputs.
• Frequently assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvements and implementing approved new processes.
• Prepare for and/or participate in accounting/finance leadership meetings and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned. Periodically evaluate personnel workload requirements within the team and recommend changes, process improvements as required.
Qualifications & Experience…
• At least 8 years of work experience in an accounting role and a strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX requirements, and relevant local GAAP as required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role in accounting/finance
• Prior work experience supervising Accounting Team of a large Company preferred
• BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university, Master's degree in Accounting or MBA a plus CPA or Chartered Accountant (CA) strongly preferred
• Experience performing financial statement analytics and monitoring of key business performance metrics
• Ability to determine proper revenue recognition, including multi-element revenue agreements, revenue accruals, customer's incentives and commissions and financial impact of settlement in complex foreign currency environments
• Attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills

• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
