Job Description
The Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting will assist with the planning, preparation, and review of the Company's SEC filings, compliance with SEC reporting regulations, and other internal and external financial reporting needs.Your Role Accountabilities…
• Assist with the planning, preparation, and review of the company's SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, Registration statements, 8-K, Proxy statement, and others.
• Prepare and review disclosures in compliance with applicable US GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Research and draft new disclosures related to new accounting standards or unique transactions.
• Work directly with internal and external audit to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and timely submission of requested audit documentation.
• Assist with the planning, preparation, and review of financial statements for various 401-K plans and pension plans.
• Other duties and tasks may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications & Experience…
• BS/BA in accounting or related discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience and a strong understanding of US GAAP
• CPA preferred
• Financial reporting experience or external audit experience with a SEC registrant is strongly preferred
• Experience with Workiva preferred
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must embraces change driven by evolving business initiatives and maintain positivity when time-sensitive milestones shift
