Job Description

As part of the local team, this position is responsible for all aspects of programme planning for the newly launching Warner TV Czechia, developing the strategy in partnership with Head of local brands and implementing it, selecting the content for the channel and devising a marketable, high rating and revenue driving schedule

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop the long range & monthly programme strategy and schedules for Warner TV Czechia
• Liaise with Research to develop a full understanding of ratings information and impact on the schedule.
• Understand competitor channels and market influences and their impact on Warner TV audience/viewing schedule
• Build knowledge of content library and how best to use programme assets in the local market
• Advice Head of local brands with respect to Warner TV Czechia programming strategy
• Communicate strategy and schedules internally
• Create stunts/events/strands/themes etc for the purpose of audience growth and marketing/PR as well as non-standard ad sales opportunities
• Monitor and analyse the strategy and schedule of Warner TV Czechia to optimise programming and promotion activities.
• Stay up to day with programming initiatives across the EMEA portfolio and to contribute towards any initiatives to supply the local needs
• Collaborate various teams across the organisation: Warner TV teams in other markets to ensure best practices are shared and studies, commercial (ad sales) department to ensure the channel strategy and schedule responds to the needs of the market, marketing and comms department to inform external clients, partners and press on upcoming programmes and schedules Promo Production and Media Planning department
• Inputting of programme schedule into the What's On

Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience in programme planning, preferably with experience of the scripted movies and series genre and having worked within a television channel.
• Proven ability to revitalize a channel through improved scheduling techniques
• IT competence: deep familiarity with scheduling and trafficking systems and Excel
• Passion for scripted content

Metrics:
• Meeting the goals of channel performance measured in viewership metrics (RTG, SHR, AMR)
• Ability to make strategic judgments based on analysis of research and market information
• Ability to think independently and creatively in determining schedules that best meet market needs
• Establish and maintain good internal relationships within the Warner Bros Discovery across teams and regions
• Demonstrate proactive and enthusiastic approach to delivering the required tasks
