The Data & Analytics organization is at the forefront of developing and maintaining frameworks, tools, and data products vital to WBD, including flagship streaming product Max and non-streaming products such as Films Group, Sports, News and overall WBD eco-system.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Principal Analytics Engineer, you will champion overall data and analytics strategy across for various streaming and non-streaming data domains including but not limited to commerce, product, content analytics. You will bring in your expertise in a wide variety of big data processing frameworks, large scale database systems, stream data processing data mart development, BI/Analytics, API Development, to improve data architecture and data product development efficiency.
• Work closely with higher management, business, and product stakeholders to understand BI & AI driven analytics needs; create data strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Work closely with data & analytics team to architect various data products which include data marts, data semantic layer, analytics, and third-party system integrations.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and formal analysis in support of executive decision making and strategy development.
• Promote a culture of experimentation and data-driven innovation. Inspire and motivate through internal and external presentations and other speaking opportunities.
• Assist in hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers. Help build an engineering team that prioritizes empathy, diversity, and inclusion.
• Take on the responsibility for the platform's 24x7 support availability and oversee budgetary concerns, including cloud expenditure.

What to Bring:
• Bachelor's degree, MS or greater in a quantitative field of study (Computer/Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
• 16+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence/data engineering.
• Prior experience and deep domain knowledge in Direct-to-Consumer Business based products is critical.
• Expertise in at least few programming languages - Scala, Python or similar.
• Expertise in SQL.
• Expertise in OLAP databases such as Delta Lake, Snowflake, Redshift.
• Expertise with Analytics Tools such as Looker, Tableau or similar.
• Experience in AI driven data analytics is a huge plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
