Warner Bros. Discovery Sports represents WBD's portfolio of sports brands, channels and platforms. It collectively reaches 130 million people every month, engaging fans and broad audiences in more than 200 markets and in over 20 languages across all platforms where consumers are spending time -free-to-air TV, pay-tv, streaming, online and social.

This is a 6 months fixed term contract.

Location: Istanbul, Turkey

Position Overview:

This role will be responsible for the Presentation Scheduling for our portfolio of WBD Factual and Entertainment channels across the Turkish Free To Air market. It also requires working with the wider WBD portfolio across EMEA. It involves liaising with the Programme Planning, Sales and Marketing Departments, third party regional sales house as well as the in-house Content Operations, Compliance and Transmission Team to ensure the delivery of fully optimised, editorially sound and compliant playlists.

Responsibilities:
• Creation and finalisation of the daily transmission schedule, ensuring accuracy and efficiency whilst remaining reactive to the business.
• Liaising with Content teams to ensure smooth hand over of schedules throughout all workflows and processes prior to transmission. Identifying issues and working with relevant departments to find solutions, ensuring all elements air successfully and fulfil regional regulatory requirements.
• To fully understand break patterns and templates and ensure they are checked and loaded into the system and that all final commercial loads or amendments are actioned.
• Organisation and regular revision of presentation templates.
• Liaise with Transmission teams, confirming correct playlist versions have been received and necessary changes to 'on-air' have taken place.
• Perform daily presentation schedule reconciliation and provide any reports, including discrepancy reports as required.
• Be part of the regional Scheduling teams shift pattern supporting commercial optimisation, re – timings and same day resends of playlist.
• Any ad-hoc presentation scheduling tasks as assigned by the Management Team if required.
• Attending meetings and building strong relationships with key contacts in Turkey and European offices.
• Cross training to develop knowledge across feeds and regions within the department.
• Assist in the testing and implementation of new software development, upgrades and workflows as required by the Management Team.
• Assist and support other teams within the Department with various ad-hoc tasks as needed.

​Requirements:
• Experience in free to air/commercial on-air scheduling.
• Good knowledge of the scheduling system IBMS or similar Scheduling System.
• An understanding of the end-to-end broadcast chain.
• Knowledge of RTUK Regulatory body and other regulatory bodies and advantage.
• Self-starter, highly motivated and a good team player.
• Capable of decision making and maintaining high performance while working under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships within an organisation.
• Language requirement: Fluent in Turkish and intermediate English
• Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.

Metrics:
• Delivery of the daily transmission schedules within deadlines and high levels of accuracy.
• To be able to independently resolve basic scheduling issues and commercial load errors.
• To have a broad understanding of the regional aspects of the feed and Channel priorities.
• Successfully working with others in the organisation as part of the team to ensure all schedules are delivered in a timely manner.
• Working with other departments to ensure all matters relating to the creation of the daily presentation schedule and associated work processes are followed and any issues fed back as required.
• To become proficient in the presentation scheduling functions across numerous channels where required.
• Working to a shift pattern created to help maximise
our commercial revenue opportunities, shared across our 3 person regional presentation team.
