Job Description
The pilot in command reports to the Chief Pilot regarding company operating policies and procedures. The pilot in command is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of the flight assignment with the emphasis on safety, security, and quality. Will exercise pilot in command authority of all flights to which they are assigned and are the final authority for the safe conduct of the flight.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and/or cancel flights based on weather or other conditions
• Ensure that the flight is conducted in complete compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations and policies and procedures
• Institute all necessary changes as required by enroute conditions such that the flight may continue under appropriate company policies, procedures and rules
• Responsible for conducting the flight in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with industry and company standards
• Accurate completion of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures
• Responsible for ensuring a thorough and complete understanding with the second in command regarding all aspects of flight
• Record all aircraft discrepancies as they occur on the aircraft discrepancy log and immediately report these discrepancies to their Maintenance Manager or their designee as soon as possible. Refer to the approved MEL and as directed by the Maintenance Manager if the inoperative item can be deferred or needs to be repaired and completes the aircraft discrepancy log as required
• Determine that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and that they are mentally and physically fit for duty
• Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems which they are authorized to operate to include all emergency systems and procedures associated with the aircraft
• Secure the aircraft after each flight to include arranging hangar storage if they deem necessary or they are instructed to do so by the company management
• Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts and NOTAMS from a FAA flight service station or other authorized agency
• File or cause a flight plan to be filed with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility
• Analyze area, enroute and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and alternates
• Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator {ISC) under the provision of the twelve five standard security program
• Conduct the required passenger safety briefings or assign that duty in accordance with the FAR's
• Impart knowledge and skills to the second in command to prepare them to assume the duties of Pilot in Command in an emergency or when the second in command upgrades to pilot in command in that aircraft
• Responsible for taking an active role supporting the open sharing of information on all safety issues and reporting all safety hazards and concerns in our SMS program
• Responsible for making an immediate report in any hazardous action, conduct or event to the Chief Pilot and head of safety
• The pilot in command may delegate these duties but not the responsibility for those duties
• Other duties may be required, as needed

• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal formats
• Possess a team effort approach with great interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to be proactive, efficient with the ability to seek out answers and resources as needed

• Has a pleasant, friendly, and helpful manner to deliver the best experience to passengers and colleagues
• Quality driven with a passion for excellence
• Be able to arrive at location and ready for takeoff within 3.5 hrs while on assigned or standby duty

Qualifications & Experience
• Must possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a GVl Type Rating Certificate
• A current FAA First Class Medical
• 5000 hours Total Fixed Wing
• 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land
• 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command
• 1500 hours Turbojet
• 1500 Turbine time
• 100 hours Night
• 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument
• 5 years of Corporate aviation experience
• Must be able to work flexible schedules
• Willing and able to travel worldwide extensively, without any restrictions
• Must have a valid driver's license

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale passenger areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
