The Warner Bros. Discovery Revenue and Strategy Communications Team is seeking a Manager. The Manager should be passionate and knowledgeable about the media industry with experience in Advertising Sales, Distribution, Affiliate Relations, Public Affairs or Studio Production highly desired. This person will be part of the team responsible for strategic communications that drive and shape WBD's divisional narrative. We seek a proactive, creative, strategic thinker, agile problem-solver with exceptional execution and attention to detail, exceptional writing skills and experience in media relations.
This Manager will work collaboratively with the Revenue and Strategy Communications Team in a fast-paced environment to support strategic and innovative communications campaigns. The role requires extensive organizational skills, a deep knowledge of the media and Advertising Sales industries, the ability to manage multiple projects seamlessly, forward-thinking, strong writing skills, strong media relationships, innovative ideas, and most importantly, a strong interest in Communications.
The Manager will assist in media relations efforts, communicating directly with reporters about our initiatives. Manager will pitch trade and business press, build campaign strategies, and craft press releases, editorial pitches, speeches, crisis response and internal communications.
The Manager must be a creative and strategic thinker, must be able to write effectively, must possess excellent problem-solving skills, and must be able to work collaboratively across multiple teams, organizations, and external partners. The Manager is expected to have their finger on the pulse of the media industry to best inform and support the team.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Strategically manage various external and internal communications, including speeches, press releases and media pitches, spanning the company's diverse portfolio of iconic brands, affiliation partnerships, streaming properties and advanced advertising capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners – including key members of leadership teams - to develop and execute PR and social plans for tentpole events
• Articulate the vision, people and partnerships of WBD Revenue and Strategy through proactive and reactive media relations efforts and thought leadership opportunities (industry speaking engagements, award submissions, paid media opportunities in partnership with trade marketing team, etc.)
• Plan and staff internal and external events, including industry conferences, speaking engagements and tentpoles like the annual Ad Sales Upfront event in May.
• Prepare and maintain briefing documents, communications plans, speeches, pitches, biographies and other presentation decks and materials for senior leaders.
Qualifications & Experience...
• 5+ years of experience in Communications in the Media Industry
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Established experience in communications in the media and entertainment industries
• Proven ability in communications, project management and planning.
• Professional track record of developing and executing communications strategies in support of cross-functional launches and storytelling campaigns.
• Established relationships with members of the press and a proven ability to forge new relationships quickly and genuinely.
• Strong understanding of the state of media and importance in communicating the value of advertising innovation.
• Familiarity with priority industry organizations and a successful background in securing thought leadership opportunities
• A strong understanding of corporate communications, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Savvy approach to social media and cross-platform content amplification.
• An ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task during busier periods.
• Excellent judgment and innate problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative approach to working with a wide range of people and personalities.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $72,240.00 - $134,160.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
