Job Description
We are looking for an Audit Manager for the Studio Controllership Home Entertainment & Games accounting team. This Manager reports to the VP and will provide oversight on all digital video, physical video, and games audits performed by independent third-party firms or by Internal Audit.
Searching for self-starter with strong organizational skills who prioritizes and takes ownerships on a variety of Audits covering Participations, Internal Audit, Licensee & Royalties Audits plus special projects across all Home Entertainment & Games businesses (LOBs), while building strong internal relationships and backing up the core team.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Planning for Potential Audits
- Risk Assessment: Determine yearly slate with Stakeholders, set schedule, pricing and scope with 3rd party Audit firms and track progress of all audits. Assist in developing risk assessment criteria and maintain analytics to aid in audit prioritization & development on annual audit slate.
- Review monthly contractual compliance tests (SOX) for risk with licensees and factor results into risk assessment. Maintain management schedules and decks for executive summaries. Calculate and define yearly ROI and present to Executive Management.
• Audit Management
- Oversee all audits undertaken with external and internal auditors, including communication to management, sourcing data requests, issue resolution, contract interpretation and formal responses.
- Draft all notices, rebuttals, and settlement letters for Legal review and distribution. Liaise with Sales and Legal to facilitate issue resolution, report issuance, and pursing audit collection and/or settlement.
- Document and maintain a summary of each audit to be used as reference for future audits & risk/valuation assessment. Include key audit issues, client system overviews, client data gaps or anomalies, licensee responses to findings, monetary findings and amounts collected.
• Settlement of Audits
- Assist in ensuring report finalization, issuance and audit closure and/or and timely settlement negotiations.
- Assist in determining appropriate accounting treatment as related to business issues, contract clauses, findings and audit results.
- Determine allocation by-title, create JEs and support to record audit receipts, and process revenue into the GL. Manage accruals for audit fees and settlements when needed.
- Assist in proposing recommendations for improving internal processes and procedures to enhance and streamline audits as determined from completed audits.
- Assist in drafting new contract language for areas which need to be clarified based on audit findings, issues raised, other inputs.
• Manage relationships with external audit teams and internal WBD teams including Legal, Sales, and Finance
• Managing requests of support from FCRA in support of audits
• Assist management with special projects as required, including close-related or other accounting assistance across Studio Controllership Home Entertainment & Games teams
• Developing tools & performance metrics by client to aid in risk assessment, contract management and tracking
• Perform pricing testing procedures for digital video and games for licensing agreements

Qualifications & Experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in accounting or related financial area.
• Utilizes advanced analytical skills and draws keen insights from the data.
• Strong data analytics, contract interpretation and written communication skills
• Manages intermediate-level processes and projects with minimal input from others by taking proactive action to resolve general challenges.
• Successfully manages multiple deadline-driven projects.
• Uses thorough logic and methods as well as business knowledge to solve problems.
• Raises conflicts and concerns to supervisor; makes suggestions to management regarding how to resolve.
• Seeks to understand the broader business environment and to utilize these insights as appropriate.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers, other levels of personnel and outside clients.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Desirable
• Public Accounting and/or Audit experience
• Familiarity with Home Entertainment & Games industries, content distribution agreements
