Your New Role…

Join our dynamic facilities team where you will be responsible for running, managing, and mentoring a fantastic in-house plumbing team, ensuring that the Studio facility is maintained and run to the highest standard as well as delivering safe working practices.

The Lead role is responsible for both the plumbing team, who deliver the maintenance, modification, and installation of plumbing systems at WBSL, as well as all sub-contractors that are engaged to maintain WB assets and supervise all parties that are instructed to attend reactive call outs.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Plan, organise and carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, monitoring completion of these tasks and ensuring the highest standards of work.
• Keep accurate records including sign off sheets, compliance records and PlanOn updates including information on time spent working, description of works performed, and materials used.
• Ensure that the sites plumbing, and mechanical equipment are looked after to maintain continuous operation and legal compliance with local and national regulations.
• Operate and maintain mechanical systems via the BMS – training provided.
• Supervise, instruct as well as be able to carry out small installation works and modifications to existing systems. This includes dishwashers, washing machines and/or any other asset installation required.
• Act as the primary contact for all plumbing emergency calls, following escalation processes for a quick resolution.
• Organise workflows ensuring team members understand their duties, setting goals, monitoring team productivity, providing constructive feedback and coaching, resolve issues and serve as a link between cross functional disciplines and management team.
• Audit and review of all stock levels ensuring critical spares and operational spare parts are always kept in stock including your assigned tools.
• Review WB assets and work with contractors on life cycle planning and produce cost analysis when required.
• Assist with other general maintenance tasks should the need arise or delegate accordingly to either inhouse teams or contractors.

Qualifications & Experience…
• Use and maintenance of site plant equipment such as MEWPS (training provide)
• Working knowledge of industrial and commercial systems including HVAC systems.
• Technologically proficient with good working knowledge of sanitisation and drainage systems.
• Interpret drawings and building specification to map layout for pipes, drainage, and other plumbing related services.
• Have a good understanding of the maintenance requirements as well as be able to use all special equipment needed/used on site.
• Must hold a full UK driving license.
• Capable of dynamic risk assessing activities being undertaken.
• Collaborate with general contractors and other construction professionals including the facilities team.
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (Gas Fired Water and Central Heating Appliances).
• Water regulations.
• CENWAT: Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters.
• Legionella Regulations Awareness, preferable but not essential.
• Gas safe registered would be advantageous.
• Preferable but not essential skill set – knowledge of the Business Management System (BMS) system.
• Preferable but not essential skill set – trained to use trailers and forklifts.

Working Pattern…
• You will be required to work a 40-hour week on a rota shift pattern.
• There will be a requirement to work evenings, weekends and some bank holidays in line with the operating hours of the studio and the studio tour.
• You may need to organise attendance/ respond to emergencies in and out of normal working hours across the week.
• The role will primarily be based at the Leavesden site but from time to time you may be required to work off site.

Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200-acre secure site has half a million square feet of stage space, production offices and workshops together with an exterior filming tank, one of the largest indoor heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 100 acre back-lot. WBSL has some of the largest sound stages in the UK and is proving to be a very popular facility for production clients.

WB Leavesden Park, adjacent to the Studio, offers modern and flexible office space for Production Companies. The site also has its own, on-site Set Lighting & Rigging rental division, which provides the industry with state-of-the-art lighting equipment, scaffolding and production supplies for stage and location shoots. WB De Lane Lea based in Soho, London, provides state of the art facilities in audio post-production for feature films and television.

WBSL also have an onsite childcare facility available to WB employees, onsite productions called The WonderWorks and Zone10 - an onsite gym facility to support the physical and mental wellbeing of all our employees.

These facilities make Warner Bros. Entertainment the only Hollywood studio to own and operate a production and post-production facility in the UK.
