Job Description

The Global Planning Domestic Live Editor 1 is responsible for facilitating and managing all aspects of transmission and feeds each day. This includes trafficking reporter live shots and content feeds for all domestic personnel deployed in the field as well as working in our bureau cities. These editors handle day-of oversight as well as the logistics that support planning and positioning in the days ahead.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Coordinate field live shots for all CNN platforms. This includes working with editorial staff to approve live requests and coordinating with show TPMs on the logistics that support those lives.
• Manage tape and live feeds from field teams and domestic bureaus. Work with editorial staff to ensure content is alerted across the organization.
• Communicate live/logistics information to necessary editorial and production staff to support coverage needs. Assist with the show teams and digital video with resource coordination.
• Work with the editorial planning team to manage day-to-day movement and assignments of CNN trucks and other transmission resources and staffing of teams.

Qualifications & Experience…
• The successful candidate for this position will have 4-6 year's similar experience in an operational and logistics role.
• Preferable news background, control room experience along with strong editorial awareness will be helpful to this candidate.
• Able to work under deadline and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, live news environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as the news cycle and deadlines dictate.
• Understanding of emerging technology and digital platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate.
