HBO & Max Original Series, Finance & Planning is looking for a manager to join its unique, high-impact team, overseeing the studio's industry-leading scripted originals TV production portfolio.
This role will lend critical support on workstreams related to our financial models and systems used to evaluate, measure, and report all ATL, BTL, and Tax Incentives impacts for each individual production on the overall slate, track weekly and monthly production assumptions (including series-by-series budgets and cost reports), develop KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to provide HBO leadership with actionable insights on key operational and financial metrics, and conduct ad hoc analyses on issues pertaining to TV business strategy.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Manage slate level financial reporting comprising cost data on all individual productions and publishing our Executive Snapshot, Production Snapshot, and Annual Budget Book for HBO leadership; Liaise with our Financial Reporting & Operations Technology partners to redesign and improve data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities of our TM1 Planning Analytics solution; Partner with Content Strategy & Analysis teams to design and implement processes related to ingestion of large slate level data into TM1 Planning Analytics and all Finance & Planning workstreams;
• Proactively track, report, and analyze production cost budget and cost report updates on a series-by-series basis across 100s of active shows, fueling complex slate analyses executed by senior members of the team and serving as a critical component to actively managing costs on a series-by-series basis, Ad hoc TV Strategy and Planning analyses.
• Support the Finance & Planning team on business development exercises as needed; Exhibit and maintain strong knowledge of industry trends and practices to identify opportunities and risks. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Production Snapshot: Track and report cost information for Documentaries, Specials and Animation
• Identify and develop process efficiencies and automation to create standardized, efficient, and repeatable processes
• Prepare KPI metrics, Dashboards, PowerPoint presentations
• Conduct Ad-hoc analyses and special projects
Qualifications & Experience...
• Expert proficiency in TM1 Planning Analytics, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, and/or SQL.
• Strong proficiency in Financial Modeling, Financial Reporting, and Management KPI Dashboards
• 5-7 years of experience in a TV and media/entertainment company
• TV production budgets and cost reports experience preferred.
• Experience in translating financial impacts from ATL contracts for actors, producers, writers.
• Experience in business development/strategy
• Experience preparing complex financial models for strategic initiatives or new business opportunities.
• B.S. is required
• Strong quantitative & analytical skills and ability to think strategically to oversee creation of dynamic and detailed financial models to evaluate different operating scenarios for TV-related businesses.
• Advanced financial modeling skills: high proficiency in Excel to create dynamic models to evaluate different operating scenarios for TV.
• Effective communication & people skills; active participation in meetings
• Complex problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Professional maturity and executive presence; effective presentation skills
• Ability to be proactive and to drive projects forward.
• Effective multi-tasking and time management; strong planning & organization skills
• PC based information systems knowledge required: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI required.
• Must be meticulous.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
