Job Description
Job Summary:

The Media Planning Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing long-term promotional strategies in collaboration with the Marketing, Programming, and Creative teams. Utilizing audience analysis, the role will involve managing on-air inventory, ensuring effective campaign delivery, and optimizing promotional efforts to achieve network rating targets. The specialist will monitor campaign performance, collaborate with key departments on promo material scheduling, and provide insights to improve audience flow and meet commercial and marketing objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with industry tools like BARC YUMI, and an understanding of the South Asian media landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Marketing, Programming, and Creative teams to develop a long-term promotional strategy. Utilize quantitative audience analysis to recommend the optimal number and type of promotions for each channel.
• Learn and operate proprietary scheduling, reporting, and optimization platforms to manage on-air inventory and execute campaigns effectively.
• Monitor and report on campaign performance, ensuring alignment with communication targets.
• Coordinate with partner departments to manage promo material delivery, scheduling, and transmission log delivery.
• Ensure campaigns align with the broader Network promotional strategy.
• Make informed decisions on the best use of on-air inventory to meet network rating targets, using industry research and insights.
• Analyze viewing patterns and collaborate with Adsales, Programming, and Marketing teams to optimize break patterns, improving audience flow and achieving both commercial and marketing goals.
• Act as a point of contact for any transmission issues related to assigned feeds.

Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma holder
• Familiarity with BARC YUMI software and basic analytical skills
• Experience in TV media planning or buying, preferably within a broadcaster or media agency
• Basic understanding of television audience planning, evaluation systems, and the ability to analyze and apply media research
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in PC software and tools
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Knowledge of the South Asia industry and competitive landscape
