Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer at Warner Bros. Discovery, this position will oversee all Legal support for the WBD Studios & Networks divisions including management of Production Legal across WB Pictures, WB Television, Streaming Content Support, US Networks, and WB Games. The role will provide executive level leadership and lead a global team of dedicated attorneys and legal professionals. This role will also be the primary Legal advisor to the Studios & Networks C-suite.

Your Role Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all aspects of Production Legal across WBTV (Scripted, Unscripted, and Animation), HBO, Streaming Content Support, Magnolia, US Networks, and WB Pictures (including domestically and UK Productions), including serving as a key advisor to the business and partner with various functions throughout the Company to evaluate and reconcile complex matters/issues from a Business Unit and enterprise level perspective.
• Lead and manage the following business units/legal functions: WBD Consumer Products and Global Brands & Experiences, Global Studio Operations, Labor Relations, WBD Music Legal, Global Theatrical Distribution and Marketing, Participations Legal, US Content Acquisitions, and Global Rights Management.
• Lead strategic planning and implementation of new policies and business terms across Studios & Networks.
• Provide advice and counsel on broad range of legal issues to Business Unit Executives and management.
• Collaborate with IP Legal team and Business on driving AI strategy and policy across Studios & Networks.
• Partner with Legal Senior Management Team on cross-functional and enterprise-wide Studios & Networks business & legal initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
• 25+ years of experience as a practicing attorney with at least 10+ years of experience practicing in the media, entertainment and/or studio industry
• Experience in production, licensing, participations, labor relations, affiliate distribution, music, and entertainment transactions
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with entertainment industry consortia
• Undergraduate degree required.
• JD degree from an accredited law school required.
• Admission to California State Bar in good standing or willingness and qualification to be Registered In-House Counsel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and ability to influence and collaborate effectively internally and externally
• Ability to lead a highly matrixed environment with excellent people management skills and a proven track record in building, leading, managing, and motivating a high performing team
• Ability to conceptualize and articulate practical and creative solutions to meet business needs and legal requirements
• Demonstrated ability to spot, analyze, and navigate complex business matters/issues to Senior Executives
• Ability to think strategically and devise practical strategies and solutions
• Knowledge of law and the legal environment of the entertainment industry to sufficiently prepare legal documents, represent the Company in legal proceedings, and advise Company management
• Ability to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships especially with Senior Executives
• Demonstrated ability to develop trust and credibility with internal and external business partners
• Ability to evaluate and reconcile complex matters/issues from the business-unit and enterprise level perspective
• Has breadth of knowledge of the motion picture and television industry, labor relations, legal issues, and has served as a strategic partner for Business Affairs and Production.
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to work under high pressure, tight deadlines and execute efficiently against multiple, high-priority, and high-volume projects
• Ability to manage and thrive in fast paced production environment
• Demonstrated knowledge on current and emerging business and legal trends in motion picture and television industry
• A collegial and collaborative lawyer who brings a commitment to the creation of a positive working environment within the legal and studio/production organization
• Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $388,500.00 - $721,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
