Job Summary/Description:

WALA Fox 10News is looking for a dynamic producer to join its award-winning news and lifestyle team. The successful candidate must have a great attitude and desire to create memorable shows. We are seeking someone to produce a newscast or lifestyle content. This may include Studio 10, our morning lifestyle show that highlights people, places, and events across the Gulf Coast.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- For lifestyle content- schedule interesting and informative interviews and on-location shoots.
- Stack daily shows with feature stories of the day, along with live and recorded segments.
- Integrate sponsored and non-sponsored content to create entertaining and informational shows.
- For newscasts- use editorial judgment to help determine the content of the newscasts.
- Write clear, concise, and accurate scripts for news stories.
- Work with reporters, anchors, news managers, and assignment editors to create unique, fast-paced newscasts.
- Enhance content with graphics, video, research, and station branding.
- Make time-sensitive decisions and facilitate breaking news.
- Oversee live broadcasts from the control room.
- Post content to the station's website.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Candidate should have a college degree in journalism or related field.
- Prior experience working in a newsroom is a plus.
- Knowledge of ENPS newsroom system is a plus.
- The position requires you to have a flexible schedule and fill in on other shows as needed, including some holidays.
