DESCRIPTION:
The CBS Financial/Accounting Rotational Program is a long-term program designed to develop, annually, 5-7 ambitious, high-performing recent college/post college graduates into future leaders within CBS's financial and accounting organization.
Beginning summer 2019, rotational analysts will participate in a minimum of three, nine month rotations over a two to three-year period. The exact mix of rotations will vary. Rotational areas may include, but are not limited to Accounting, Financial & Regulatory Reporting, Internal Controls, and Internal Audit and Planning. Participating divisions on the East Coast Region include Corporate, CBS Network, Showtime, Local Media and Simon and Schuster.
By the end of the rotational program, analysts that have performed at the level expected will be placed into a permanent role based on the analyst's interests and accomplishments as well as current business need.
By rotating through key functional groups, the analysts will gain cross-divisional/departmental knowledge and the business acumen to prepare them for future opportunities across CBS financial functions. Early on, analysts will be expected to assume an active role in their assigned department and will be given relevant projects and tasks related to important aspects of the business.
Mentorship
The rotational analysts will have a high level of visibility and exposure to key decision makers and each will be assigned a formal leadership level mentor to support them in their individualized growth. The rotational analyst mentors will offer networking opportunities as well as help each analyst actively direct his or her career path within CBS.
Assessment
Analysts will be formally assessed after each cross-functional rotation as well as be given frequent, constructive feedback to aide in their development throughout the program. On-going participation in the rotational program is contingent on individual performance and development. Rotational analysts will be assessed on the quality of their work and other predetermined performance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Accounting or Finance (must be graduating in May prior to starting program), GPA of 3.3 or higher
