Job Description
Variety is currently looking for a Sr. Manager, Event Marketing that will play a key role in growing and elevating live events. This role has broad requirements including venue research, vendor management, budget tracking and maintenance, creation of design decks, communication with both internal and external teams, invoice management, creative design and all event logistics including pre-event, onsite and post-event.

Additionally, the Sr. Manager, Event Marketing will support other team members as needed with various event elements as well as onsite support.

Applicant must possess a professional and can-do attitude, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, must be confident working both collaboratively and autonomously and able to remain flexible when change arises. A successful candidate in this role is resolution driven and able to think quickly on their feet as challenges are presented.

Responsibilities will include:
• Participate in both internal and external sales calls, to support both new and existing event opportunities
• Produce and assist on a portion of the live media events portfolio, including venue management and oversite, contract management, f&b curation and management, rental orders, security management, signage, audio/visual and fabrication
• Create event decks for each event, including photos, capacities, floor plans, schematics and design, for both internal team and event sponsors
• Manage vendor communications and scheduling for event logistics and production (pre-production and post-production) + lead onsite for load in and load out (single – multi-day) for assigned events
• Liaise with all Variety departments for event logistics: video, edit, sales, marketing for assigned events
• Create and maintain run of show for all assigned events
• Oversee live event program onsite, working directly with the AV team and overseeing run of show
• Research and attend site checks for new and existing event venues, to provide the best options for both Variety and our partners
• Work with internal creative team for all event assets and signage (provide event overview deck, venue details, sponsor, editorial and programmatic needs) for assigned events
• Assist in keeping all event budgets organized and filed each quarter
• Track photography links for all events
• Distribute photo links

Experience
• 2+ years of event production experience
• Extremely organized and detail oriented
• Efficient in Microsoft office, Adobe, Slack, Zoom and Monday
• Creative thinker with hands-on experience in planning

Typical wage range: $80 - $85k plus bonus. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
