The Junior Marketing Technology & Digital Operations is a member of Universal Music's in-house media team, and is primarily responsible for guiding and evolving Universal Music's AdTech/MarTech infrastructure strategy.
In this role, you will recommend and manage Marketing Technology platforms that enable omnichannel marketing tactics and strategies that help drive music consumption, merchandise sales and audience development.
How you'll CREATE:
• Extensive experience in Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics to drive and manage the execution of Universal Music's advertising & marketing technology strategy.
• Manage Google Tag Manager environments, processes, and architecture for the UMG Central Media Team & ensure the integrity and accuracy of our tagging environment by monitoring and analyzing data patterns in order to debug discrepancies between web analytics data points.
• Lead paid media tagging initiatives from inception through completion including partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders to build requirements, set up and implement, and quality control.
• Collaborate with third-party ad-tech and mar-tech partners to implement solutions that enable the following: Paid Media Activation, Data Collection & Audience Segmentation, Paid Reporting & Analytics, Creative, Email, Ad Server, Tag Management, Workflow Management, & Brand Safety Technologies.
• Evolve the activation, optimization, and performance of our paid digital media programs by testing & deploying new technologies that are licensed, acquired, or built.
• Collaborates with Marketing Analytics, Performance Media, Data Engineering, Product, Technology, Front End Web Development and other internal teams to translate business goals into technical strategy and roadmap.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise with UMG's global advertising & marketing technology infrastructure including implementation, reporting, measurement and activation.
• Support Media Analysts with the advertising reporting operations and BI dashboards (Datorama/Salesforce) by maintaining data quality and evolving site tagging for advanced reporting, audience segmentation, optimization, and personalization.
• Manage, develop and execute product roadmaps for centrally used systems in conjunction with Product, Engineering and Marketing. Regularly communicate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to enable improvements to tracking and reporting.
• Work closely with internal IT, Legal & Data Governance teams to define our compliance with privacy regulations like the ePrivacy directive and GDPR.
• Build presentations and other important communication regarding strategic deliverables; delivering clear, compelling and persuasive communications to all stakeholders.
• Develop beneficial media partner relationships with market leaders to ensure we are not only adhering to best practices, but setting the standard in how advertising technology is used.
Bring your VIBE:
• 4-year degree from an accredited university in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field and 4+ years experience in marketing or related functional area; OR equivalent relevant experience.
• 2+ years specific MarTech experience (working within Digital Advertising and Marketing Technologies, Project Management, Programming); in-depth knowledge of the marketing technology landscape, data implications, the product players, and their capabilities.
• Experience scaling and scoping large and small digital technology enablement projects.
• Experience and subject matter expertise in tagging / tracking solutions such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the end-to-end paid media execution flow including pixel implementation, audience generation, ad serving, paid media activation and reporting.
• Highly articulate and able to communicate complex, technical nuances of ad-tech and mar-tech infrastructure to non-technical internal and external stakeholders.
• Identifies priorities, timelines, and resources required to deliver on business objectives.
