Job Description
Universal Music Group is looking for a Director, Commerce to be a part of Universal Music Enterprises under their Commercial Marketing team. This role will focus on maximizing marketing and commercial reach while developing and shaping our agreed revenue strategies. The role will partner with our labels/managers/artists to develop commerce marketing campaigns that strategize the best course to market for their catalog and releases, a role specializing across all genres. The role will work in tandem with the various UMe departments, our frontline label partners & our international territories under the direction of the SVP of Commerce, Digital.

How You'll CREATE:
• Drive marketing and promotional initiatives with digital commerce partners and internal international teams to maximize revenue and exposure for our content.
• Develop expert knowledge of the marketing tools offered by streaming services and partner with Project and Artist Managers to execute campaigns that maximize these tools in partner focused marketing.
• Propose and execute global marketing and platform campaigns with timely featured positioning & partner marketing support for UMe new releases, catalog and other strategic initiatives.
• Support Partner Leads with track pitching, optimizing artist profiles, managing owned & operated channels.
• Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, identify market trends, and optimize marketing campaigns for maximum impact and ROI.
• Partner with A&R to conceptualize and construct strategy for digital compilations and dynamic playlists.
• Monitor artist and partner social media accounts, traffic posts for shares and deeper engagement.
• Manage social media, CRM & content requests with Audience Growth Team to ensure proper execution.
• Implement and own a process for asset & content creation for various partner marketing initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with the Project Managers and Content teams to ideate, budget, and execute effective advertising campaigns to drive consumption.
• Develop and maintain an online hub for artist images and work with Creative Team to license images for campaigns.
• Regularly communicate the status of artist campaigns, new initiatives, opportunities and other account activities to internal departments, labels and artist management teams.
• Lead LinkFire / Link Process for Commerce Team.

Experience
• Demonstrated experience with social media marketing campaigns
• Prior experience in account/client management and digital content marketing / intellectual properties
• 5 years prior experience with digital content services or digital service providers

Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
