Job Description
UMG is looking for an exceptional Inventory Control, Accounting & Reporting professional to become part of the UMG physical supply chain operations team covering all music and merchandise product delivered to the market though both Traditional and Non-Traditional channels. Traditional channels include Retail and Distribution accounts and Non-Traditional cover eCommerce (D2C).

How you'll CREATE:

This role will be responsible for all activities required to support Inventory Control processing, automation, improvement and reporting working closely with the Warehouse and the UMG physical supply chain operations teams.

Inventory Control
• Maintain all stock reports at month end for across all warehouse management systems for retail and eCommerce.
• Reconcile stock holdings across multiples warehouses and businesses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Process various inventory movements on request, ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation maintained for audit trail.
• Review inventory comparison reports for Finished Goods, Components and eCommerce and work with key teams to resolve significant issues.
• Processing monthly eCommerce inventory sales movements
• Prepare Sox compliance documentation and testing.
• Update annual Sox compliance reporting pack.
• Assist in efforts to report, manage & dispose of excess & obsolete inventory.
• Other Inventory tasks as required.

Strategic 3rd party partner data
• Review key 3rd party data to ensure all metadata and pricing updates are made prior to month end reporting.
• Prepare 3rd party month end perpetual inventory reporting and analytics for review.
• Participate in any 3rd party inventory onboarding projects.

Audits
• Assist with individual product cycle count reviews and adjustments.
• Assist with 3rd party label audits & reconciliations.
• Assist with year-end external audit & reconciliation.
• Assist with internal audit & reconciliations.

Strategic Process Improvement
• Participate in the evaluation of current Inventory Control systems recommending enhancements and modifications.
• Develop, evaluate, document, and improve department / inter-department processes and implement recommendations.
• Ongoing process improvement
• Participate in S4/Hana process improvement project

KPI Reporting
• Responsibility for the development and utilization of reports and performance indicators.
• Implement balanced scorecards monitoring inventory levels, obsolescence & discrepancies.

Domain Expertise and Leadership
• Significant hands-on experience using a modern ERP system and identifying process improvements.
• Demonstrated understanding of inventory and cost accounting
• Demonstrated ability to effectively review and analyse inventory related reports.
• Previous experience with robotic process automation or a willingness to learn.

• Interpersonal flexibility and ability to collaborate across levels, teams, with external partners on an international basis.

• Strong ability to reconcile inventory data and analyze trends, make educated conclusions and provide recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
• 2-3 years within supply chain operations or inventory control preferably in the Media, Entertainment, Branded Product, Merchandise or Consumer Package products segments. Omni channel fulfillment experience will be a big plus.
• Supply Chain knowledge with solid understanding of inventory Key Performance Indicators and Operation Excellence initiatives, Supply Chain Processes and Systems
• BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain or related field; or equivalent experience

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
