The Role and What You'll Do:
The UFC is seeking a Sound Designer to join our Emmy Award-winning production team in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have some experience with post-production audio mixing and the associated, common software and tools. They will provide support to the audio team and be assigned mixing projects as needed.
• Prepare sessions and do basic sound editing.
• Mix ticket and tune in spots for television broadcast and radio.
• Works independently on some projects and collaborates with teammates on others.
• Assist on various location shoots and productions.
• Other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned
You Have These:
• College degree in audio production or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Avid Pro Tools, iZotope RX, and plugins from major developers.
• Knowledge of audio signal flow, EQ / compressor techniques and core audio concepts.
• Experience with location sound recording and equipment a plus.
• Experience with working for an agency, post-production company or broadcast creative team is a plus.
• College degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is necessary.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must maintain discretion and confidential information.
• Must have working knowledge of basic administrative office computer programs, on Mac and Windows PC workstations.
• Knowledge of MMA is a plus.
• Work hours will typically take place Monday through Friday, but candidate will be expected to work occasional nights and weekends when necessary.
