The Role and What You'll Do:
The Production Manager reports to the VP of Field Operations and specializes in Production Management and Coordination of Live UFC Remote Broadcasts. The Production Manager is responsible for facilitating logistics, operations, and communication associated with All Live Event Production needs and the team working in concert with each event. This role is responsible for supporting the Production Management team in delivering the day-to-day logistics across UFC Live Events. Working in a fast-paced production environment the Production Manager role will support producers, directors and crew in all needs in their daily tasks together in preparation for live events.
• Acts as a liaison between the Field and Live Production teams and other internal departments, including but not limited to: Accounting, Travel, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital, and Operations, as well as external network partners and third-party vendors.
• Working in a Global environment with focus on logistics and production coordination.
• 100% Travel position with lengthy on-site presence in the lead up to & day of execution of our primary Live UFC Fight Night & PPV Events.
• Creates and maintains calendars and schedules for various arms of the department.
• Works with all freelance crew to create their schedule on week of event, including call times, arrivals and travel on-site, and working close with production coordinators on crewing of events.
• Guide all T&E with coordinators to plan and book worldwide travel and accommodation for all crew including hotels, flights, trains, taxis, hire cars etc well in advance to ensure cost efficiency and ensure these bookings are planned and communicated with the teams.
• Manages production operations and logistics, including all call sheets, schedules, booking locations, on-site load-in, catering, power, credentials, parking, transmission, etc.
• Ensure all crew/freelance payments are processed and supported where required. Liaising with payment departments as/when necessary to ensure freelance and crew payments are processed and keep track of costs coming through to ensure accurate budget cost reconciliations for the department.
• Facilitates information flow between producers, clients, venues, vendors, internal departments, freelance crew members, and talent.
• Integrates and communicates on an ongoing basis with producers, videographers, editors, graphic designers, audio engineers, technical crew, travel coordinators, and location contacts while ensuring that the highest quality production standards are met in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Supports producers' day-to-day or shoot-specific operational demands as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
You Have These:
• Minimum 5 years professional experience as a Production Manager for major media brands.
• Demonstrable, relevant experience creating and producing compelling programming of various genres, formats and lengths, for all media platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in clerical programs such as Microsoft Office and Outlook, and project management programs such as Monday.com.
• Solutions oriented and ability to solve problems quickly.
• Experience hiring and onboarding crew is required.
• Experience liaising with talent is required.
• Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience in a sports environment is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of MMA is a plus.
