UX Team Lead

Job Description

As UX Team Lead on Rainbow 6 Siege, you will manage a group of 8 UX Designers and UX Writers to guide them in the development of a consistent user experience inside and outside the gameplay.

By defining shared methodologies and developing cross-functional collaborations focused on a user-centric approach, you'll also be a UX ambassador for the company, sharing best practices and guiding talent.

What you'll do
• Work closely with UX designers and other design professions to ensure roadmap objectives are met and design priorities are clear
• Collaborate with the user research team to extrapolate player behaviors and needs
• Lead a weekly team meeting to share knowledge, advance and reinforce the UX team's vision
• Unify deliverables across the international team (UX designers in MTL + UX designers in co-development studios)
• Advise on the best solutions to meet the expectations of players, the company and the technical team
• Strengthen communication with interconnected project teams (game design, art, universe, monetization, etc.).
• Participate in staff evaluation and recruitment
• Keep an eye on design best practices and innovation design to promote UX practice in the studios.

Qualifications

What you bring
• An undergraduate degree in Game Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or other relevant education
• Around 5 years of design, UX, or product experience in the video game industry (or related experience)
• Understanding of ergonomic principles and agile methodologies
• A highly collaborative, creative, and innovative spirit
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to think holistically while building iteratively
• A knack for translating analytical findings into actionable insights to inform decision-making
• Consideration of the impact your choices have on end-users and creators
• A passion for solving complex problems with design solutions and encouraging others to do the same
