Senior Character Artist (Unannounced tactical game)
Responsibilities:
• Build the 3D visual quality benchmark in a PBR pipeline to ensure the whole progress and quality delivery
• Create the 3D models and textures that meet the needs of project, including assets, creatures and characters in accordance with the artistic direction, production deadlines and technical specifications
• In driving and maintaining the high visual quality of models, inspiring and aligning with the project vision
• Work closely with upstream and downstream teams (e.g. Concept, TA, Animation, GD, Rigger, VFX etc.) to establish effective rules and processes for character creation and provide efficient solutions.
• Work closely with the AD and Leader to improve art quality, explore art styles, and research new technologies & tools & workflows to increase productivity.
• Detect potential risks in production and work with partners to come up with mitigation plans
• Mentor and train other 3D artists for both internal and external
• Deliver feedback to internal and external teams to maintain art style understanding and quality optimization for the Project
Qualifications

• Show of self-driven & Persistence. Proactively identifies critical roadblocks & their impacts to recommend optimized solutions.
• Solid artistic skills (e.g., shape language, contouring, color theory, etc.), as well as excellent sculpting and material manipulation.
• Excellent knowledge of 3D visual quality benchmark in a PBR pipeline.
• Excellent creativity and imagination, be able to produce high quality 3D work based on the understanding and analysis of concept.
• Excellent knowledge of real-time modeling techniques (shaders, PBR, normal, displacement etc.)
• Excellent understanding of human anatomy and creature structure, hard surface modeling, fabric sculpting
• Ability to both work independently and on a team
• Relevant software proficiencies: Zbrush, 3ds max&Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop
• Strong portfolio showing 3D art skills and demonstrating a high level of artistic creativity
• You have an inquisitive nature and a strong interest in the video games industry
• Be aware of updated cutting-edge industry art software and technology to bring it into practice based on project needs to improve production quality and efficiency
