Project Manager (Art)

Job Description

As the Project Manager, you will organize the production of the art team and manage workforce planning and communication processes with other teams. You will work in close collaboration with the Lead Artist and the rest of the Core Team to develop, inspire, engage, and drive artists towards increasingly challenging project goals. These goals span from concept to live production, including 3D modeling, rigging, texturing, level art, FX, integration, testing, and more for one of the biggest AAA live games of Ubisoft.

Qualifications

Functional Responsibilities
• Act as the bridge between art and production, ensuring art deliverables are aligned with the project's schedule, budget, and deadlines.
• Work closely with the Producer, Art Lead, and project stakeholders to ensure the team is always focused on the right priorities.
• Collaborate with art stakeholders during the review process to ensure assets are produced on time and meet quality standards.
• Monitor, track, and anticipate art resource requirements and availability throughout the project.
• Develop the scope and timeline in alignment with project OKRs.
• Promote and facilitate process improvements for assets and art-related deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with external art vendors.

Communication / Collaboration
• Ensure the art team is always technically prepared and support issue mitigation to achieve maximum productivity.
• Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders regarding the status of art deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
• Coordinate, synchronize, and prioritize initiatives between art, tech, and production teams across the project.
• Act as a communication facilitator between our team and other worldwide teams to ensure all exchanges are well-organized and outputs are clear (including translation, coordination, and process management).
• Manage and empower the art team, supporting their career growth.
• Initiate and plan training programs to improve the quality standards of the studio's artists.
• Actively participate in the recruitment process for artists and other experts, ensuring efficient onboarding.
• Care about people; be exemplary and supportive.
