Are you fluent in German? Join our team of Language Specialists and enjoy some gaming too!
As a linguistic tester, your mission is to guarantee that the release of a game will meet the highest standards of translation. You will achieve this by performing specific language tests on different versions of games developed for the German market and report the results.
Your main mission
• Identify all the linguistic errors of the verified product, such as:
• Missing texts and audio translations,
• Translated content not fitting its constraints in-game (UI or VO time constraint)
• Subtitles vs audio mismatching or de-synchronization,
• Spelling and grammar mistakes,
• Inconsistency regarding terminology, glossary and other linguistic issues.
• Highlight any potential cultural issues and adapt the content to the targeted market.
• Report all encountered issues by submitting them in a standard format in the Jira database, in a proper manner that allows easy identification and reproducing.
• In addition, report and suggest corrections through dedicated files for Oasis.
• Works closely with the Localization Project Owner assigned to the project and report on the localization status of each tested game version.
• At the same time, keep the lead tester permanently informed of the progress through tasks, of the game version coverage and the status of any issue reports.
• Constantly improve your linguistic skills and gain experience regarding the specific gaming terminology used in German language.
Qualifications
The professional value you bring
• Excellent written and oral German language skills (native or fluent speakers, students or graduates).
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Knowledge of the culture and characteristics of German language.
• Team-oriented professional
• Linguistic Certificate is a plus.
• Professional or academic experience abroad is a plus.
