These goals span from concept to live production, including 3D modeling, rigging, texturing, level art, FX, integration, testing, and more for one of Ubisoft's biggest AAA live games.
• Build and lead an effective and versatile art team to ensure it is fully resourced and qualified according to the project's objectives.
• Work closely with the Producer, Project Manager, and project stakeholders to ensure the right teams are always working on time, on the right priorities, and meeting quality targets.
• Plan, review, provide feedback, and approve estimations and work done by external art vendors (potentially on different projects).
• Plan, prioritize, and set inspiring objectives and key results for your team members, following the project objectives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to your team with ongoing and meaningful feedback on performance and development.
• Collaborate with design and gameplay teams to prototype and create compelling assets.

• Support the establishment and application of clear and optimized workflows/pipelines for the art team and external vendors.
• Find relevant solutions to problems encountered in the art team's work, including creative aspects, tool usage/optimization, and workflow.
• Balance the quality and efficiency of the team to achieve the best possible results within the given time frame and technical constraints.
• Ensure the technical and artistic follow-up of the assets imported into our engine and make necessary modifications.
• Help establish and maintain both aesthetic quality and technical performance standards (polycount, memory, draw calls, etc.).
• Along with the Project Manager, be the main point of contact for anything related to the art scope.
• Care about people; be exemplary and supportive.
• Engage and positively influence team members and stakeholders around visions.

Qualifications
• Experience as a 3D Artist in games in a lead or senior-level role.
• AAA shipping experience on consoles (a plus).
• Attention to detail for both aesthetic and technical quality.
• Versatility, responsiveness, and initiative.
• Excellent knowledge of modeling tools such as 3DS MAX, Maya, ZBrush, Marmoset, etc.
• Mastery of the PBR pipeline for texture creation (baking tools, Substance Painter/Photoshop).
• Good understanding of game mechanics related to objects and environments.
• Strong people management experience and outstanding team spirit.
• Great communication skills (English and Vietnamese).
• Ability to balance quality standards and game performance in our proprietary engine.
• Passion for games, with an ability to critically analyze them.
