Following this success, Ubisoft Sofia contributed as a co-dev studio to the creation of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 and led the production of its second episode ''Pentagon, The Last Castle'' in 2019. The latest achievements of the teams in Sofia are the creation of the most ambitious expansion in the Assassin's Creed franchise history – AC Valhalla ''Dawn of Ragnarök'', released in March 2022 and Assassin's Creed Mirage, released in October 2023. Currently the teams at Sofia are hard at work in the development of Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Job Description
Your role
As a Junior Ambient Designer, you will be designing, implementing and creating scripted events and ambient design setups, such as environment interactions, micro stories, NPC setups and interactions. You will work closely with the Game and Level Design, Animation and Narrative teams.
*Please, note that our Studio is based in Sofia and in terms of our hybrid model of work, working within the Bulgarian boundaries would be required.

ASSIST IN THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AMBIENT DESIGN ELEMENTS AND RELATED ANIMATIONS AND CAMERAS
To create immersive and atmospheric game levels and quests
BE AWARE OF THE GAME AND LEVEL DESIGN DOCUMENTS, QUEST OBJECTIVES, ATMOSPHERE, STORY AND STYLE
To understand the overall game direction and experience
WORK CLOSELY WITH ANIMATORS, GAME, QUEST AND LEVEL DESIGNERS
To ensure that ambient design elements integrate seamlessly into the overall game direction
OPTIMIZE AMBIENT DESIGN ELEMENTS
To ensure they perform smoothly within the game, balancing aesthetics with technical performance
PROPOSE IMPROVEMENTS
For the ambient design, the setups and settings of its elements
ITTERATE AND IMPLEMENT FEEDBACK FROM PEER DESIGNERS AND DIRECTORS
To meet the project's artistic and technical standards
STAY UP TO DATE WITH INDUSTRY TRENDS AND TOOLS
Related to game development, tools and practices in the industry
Qualifications
Your skills
KNOWLEDGE
Good understanding of level and ambient design principles in game development
Good knowledge of level editors and scripting tools
Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, spreadsheets, etc.
Proficient level of English
