Job Description

As a Development Tester at Ubisoft Barcelona, you will join and work alongside the team responsible for several gameplay features on Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and continue their mission to develop exciting, challenging, and forward-thinking features and next-gen visuals for an upcoming AAA title.

Responsibilities:

Be the owner of a set of Features or Content developed by the local Dev Team.
• Ensure your Features or Content meet the quality requirements, using different testing methodologies.
• Identify game quality risks in content meetings.
• Analyse and provide continuous feedback on the developed features.
• Verify quality and stability of new versions.
• Report bugs to Jira and maintain them up to date.
• Communicate and raise critical issues within your content that could block Content reviews or validations.
• Create and maintain test environments up to date.
• Create and maintain Test Plans of your set of Features or Content.
• Organize and collect feedback during Play Testing sessions.
• Actively participate in the evolution of quality control practices.
• Promote quality and maintain an effective synergy with stakeholders of their domain (PM, Programmers, Designers, QC, QA Analyst).

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in Game Development, performing hands-on Gray-box Testing and Static Testing.
• Experience on using state of the art engines and tools like Unity or Unreal.
• Passion for video games and strong knowledge of video game industry terms.
• Previous experience with Test Design and Test Plan management.
• Previous experience with database and file managing software (JIRA).
• Previous experience with Microsoft 365 (Office) tools such as Excel.
• Teamworking, proactivity and good organizational skills.
• Curiosity and an eye for detail.
• Good English communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• University degree in Computer Science or Videogames Development is a plus.
• ISTQB Certification is a plus.
