Job Description
As a Copy Editor within Ubisoft's Creative Operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and clarity of marketing materials, including videos, digital content, packaging, promotional items, and print ads. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Department based in the United States and France. The Copy Editor will report to the Copy-Editing team Manager, based in San Francisco.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Proofread and copyedit all video, online, and print materials for Ubisoft Global Publishing Department, ensuring adherence to brand tone and clarity for consumers.
• Familiarize yourself with and adhere to requirements from Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, working with their representatives to secure necessary approvals.
• Ensure that copy fits brand tone but is also accessible for most consumers.
• Maintain accuracy in branding, legal requirements, trademarking, and ESRB information across all materials.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM:
• Bachelor's degree in English, or a related field preferred.
• Professional experience in proofreading and copyediting, ideally within a marketing or creative services environment. Experience in the gaming industry would be a plus.
• Proficiency in proofreading and copy editing in French would be a strong asset.
• Proficiency in Jira, MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Internet research.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Adaptable and able to prioritize tasks effectively in response to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Mid-to-high-level experience in proofreading/copyediting experience.
